ABOUT
Anna Reisigl (born 1997) is an Austrian based bassist and composer with a background in classical and jazz music, having studied at institutions like the Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität Linz and the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien. She's part of the Bouroyen Reisigl Duo and the formation No String Quartet, both part of the program The New Austrian Sound of Music 2027/28. She co-founded the jazz trio Drehwerk and launched her solo project AR Project in 2021, which won the TAT Album of the Year and the Joe Zawinul Prize in 2023. Reisigl composes mostly for jazz/crossover formations and string orchestra, her pieces have been played in numerous venues, e.g. Wiener Konzerthaus. Reisigl has performed widely, collaborated with different artists and teaches currently at Oberösterreichisches Musikschulwerk.
