Anna Reisigl is a electric- and double bassist based in Austria.
In 2019, she received the Tyrolean Young Jazz Award from the TonartTirol association.Born on 13 October 1997, she began learning the guitar at the age of 6. At the age of 15 she attended the upper school at the BORG für Studierende der Musik in Innsbruck with simultaneous entry into the Tiroler Landeskonservatorium in preparatory studies for classical guitar with Reinhard Schöpf.She found her first practical access to jazz music and the electric bass in the big band of the BORG Innsbruck, which she joined in 2012. After a year of autodidactic learning of the instrument, she began taking lessons with Paul Tietze at the music school in Innsbruck in autumn 2013. In 2015, parallel to school and preparatory studies for classical guitar, she began the course for jazz and improvised music at the Tiroler Landeskonservatorium in the main subject of electric bass with Robert Riegler, which she completed with distinction in 2018.Since 2016 she has been the bass player in the jazz trio Drehwerk, which has released two albums to date and performs nationally. In addition to other projects, such as the Andy Steiner Trio, Sam Siefert Ensemble Project and various big bands, she performed in a premiere by the young composer Erwan Borek at the Congress Innsbruck in 2017 and as a bass soloist at the Marianne Mendt Festival in 2018. In 2021 she founded the ensemble a.R-Project which will release it's debut album in 2023.From autumn 2018 she continues her studies in electric bass with a minor in classical guitar at the Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität in Linz and begins her studies in double bass at the Tiroler Landeskonservatorium. In autumn 2020 Anna Reisigl begins studies in jazz double bass at the MUK in Vienna.
